GOP convention kicks off, briefly, as officials wait out storm

Published August 27, 2012

FoxNews.com

The opening of the Republican National Convention lasted but a few seconds Monday, as party chairman Reince Priebus gaveled in the ceremonies to a small roar of applause from the crowd of several dozen delegates. He then promptly declared the session in recess, ending the day's festivities.

It was the closest the Republican Party has come yet to getting its convention underway, as Tropical Storm Isaac delays the affair and a number of officials steer clear of the convention to tend to their home states.

Priebus did use the occasion to showcase two "debt clocks," one showing the total national debt and the other showing the debt since the start of the convention. That latter number instantly ran into the six-figure range after Priebus struck the gavel.

Weather permitting, bona-fide convention festivities will start Tuesday afternoon, with a full line-up of top-shelf speakers on the docket, sac pliage longchamp. But the fleeting kickoff Monday was just the latest sign of how the storm, as it heads toward the Gulf Coast roughly timed with the seven-year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, threatens to overshadow the party's efforts to rally the base around Mitt Romney.

Four Gulf Coast governors -- from Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and the host state of Florida -- already are steering clear of the convention to tend to emergency response in their states. The possibility of a Category 2 hurricane hitting the coast late Tuesday means that even as the convention makes its belated start that day, abercrombie fitch Earns Schedule for Selected Cos.,polo ralph lauren, media coverage and public officials' attention will remain fixed on the storm.

As of Monday, louis vuitton sito ufficiale, polo ralph lauren, though, officials were pressing forward with their revised plans to gavel in Monday afternoon, then immediately go into recess, and then bring everything into gear by Tuesday afternoon.

Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn, in an interview Monday morning with Fox News, ralph lauren pas cher, ralph lauren femme, polo femme, stressed that hurricane-prone Florida is ready for the storm and played down any worries.

"We train for this every day all year long,Chicago Public Schools offer 16-percent raise to t," he said. "And we're prepared for it."

Republican officials, of course, polo ralph lauren pas cher, will have to fight that much harder to make their now three-day event a galvanizing affair that sparks a new energy around their presidential nominee -- without appearing insensitive toward what could be a damaging lashing from Isaac along the Gulf Coast.

"This is a huge opportunity to capture the attention of the American public and keep them focused for several nights, ralph lauren pas cher," said Juleanna Glover, abercrombie and fitch Page 2 - Business Blogs & Ne,polo ralph lauren pas cher, a Republican strategist and co-founder of the Washington-based Ashcroft Group,Usually not the first step

Weather aside, Glover suggested the challenge for the Romney team will be to refrain from trying to re-invent the candidate or going over the top, instead generating enthusiasm through trying to reinforce that Romney is a leader, a churchgoer and a family man.

Their biggest challenge may well be in convincing Romney,ralph lauren pas cher, a former Massachusetts governor and private-equity manager who through the entire election cycle has argued his mission is to fix the economy,polo lacoste, not win a popularity contest. ,louis vuitton outlet;

Romney's favorability rating is now at 46 percent, according to an averaging of polls by the Real Clear Politics website. It was as low as 21 percent according to a CBS-New York Times poll in January and as high as 50 percent according to a CNN-Opinion Research poll this month.

While Glover suggests a plan that focuses on reinforcing Romney's image, polo homme, bolstered by wife Ann's scheduled speech and the presence of their children, others have suggested the presumptive GOP nominee go further.

"He needs to sell himself, (Romney) the man, gucci sito ufficiale, his vision for the country," Jonathan Collegio, spokesman for the Super PAC Crossroads GPS, told Fox News on Saturday.

Party luminaries are still on tap to deliver major addresses from Tuesday to Thursday,Iran Fox News Insider, polo homme, despite the cancellation of the first day.
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is expected to deliver his keynote address Tuesday night -- which could give the convention the energy it needs to compete for attention with the storm, sac pliage longchamp

From there, sac longchamp, Paul Ryan will speak as the Republican vice presidential nominee, followed by Romney's nomination acceptance speech late Thursday.

Iranian Christian pastor Nadarkhani writes letter of thanks after release from prison

By

Published September 21, 2012

FoxNews,EFE News Briefs for Friday, Sept. 21 Fox News Lat.com

Christian pastor Youcef Nadarkhani has spoken out in a letter of thanks to his supporters around the world after his release from the Iranian prison where he was held for three years for refusing to renounce his faith.

The carefully worded, longchamp pas cher, polo ralph lauren pas cher, approximately 600-word letter does not express any bitterness toward the regime that kept him in prison on charges that were not always clear. Nadarkhani, ralph lauren pas cher, a married father, abercrombie and fitch france Peace Corps Promises, sac longchamp pas cher, polo femme, was freed one month shy of three years and cannot leave the country for at least another month under the terms of his release. The letter cites the groundswell of support from around the world, including diplomatic efforts by several countries and a Twitter campaign that involved more than a million people.

[pullquote]

I also want to express my gratitude towards those who, ralph lauren, all around the world,White House clears staff in prostitution scandal, have worked for my cause, ralph lauren home, or should I say the cause that I defend. I want to express my gratitude to all of those who have supported me, openly or in complete secrecy. You are all very dear to my heart, Nadarkhani said in the letter dated Sept. 8, the day he was released. It was written in his native Farsi and translated by Present Truth Ministries.

Despite the fact that I have been found guilty of apostasy according to a certain reading of the Shariah, borse gucci, I am grateful that (God) gave the leaders of the country the wisdom to break that judgment taking into account other facts of that same Shariah, he also wrote.

Nadarkhani's plight began when he went to his sons' school to complain that educators were forcing lessons from the Koran on the boys, now 7 and 9. That led to his arrest for allegedly using his home as a place of worship and attempting to convert Muslims and ultimately his conviction by the Iranian Supreme Court. His release came when the court downgraded his crime to "evangelizing to Muslims" and let him out with what amounted to time served, polo ralph lauren pas cher.

The campaign to win Nadarkhani's freedom was largely spearheaded by the American Center for Law and Justice, polo ralph lauren pas cher, which tracked his court appearances throughout his incarceration.

"Pastor Youcefs courage and faith is awe inspiring.  It is clear that regardless of whether Pastor Youcef ever received one letter of support of the thousands sent or heard one news report on the international outcry for his freedom while in prison, ralph lauren pas cher, he felt the prayers and support of the entire international community," Tiffany Barrans, the center's international legal director, told FoxNews.com.

The organization also has spotlighted several other Christians who remain imprisoned in Iran for their faith

"We must continue to uplift and support those who remain imprisoned or persecuted for their faith," Barrans said, sac longchamp. "Let us continue to cry out that Iran, abercrombie and fitch france Thomas Jefferson Univ, polo homme, polo ralph lauren, and other violators of these human rights, polo femme, uphold their international obligation to protect the innocent and honor freedom of religion."

How I became George Obama's 'brother'

A few days ago I received a call from a man I recently met named George.  ,longchamp pas cher;He was a bit flustered, and soon informed me that his young son was sick with a chest condition.  He pleaded with me to send him $1,000 to cover the medical bills.  Since George was at the hospital I asked him to let me speak to a nurse, and she confirmed that George’s son was indeed ill.  So I agreed to send George the money through Western Union.  He was profusely grateful.  But before I hung up I asked George, “Why are you coming to me?”  He said, “I have no one else to ask.”  Then he said something that astounded me, “Dinesh, you are like a brother to me.”

Actually, George has a real life brother who just happens to be the president of the United States.  (George Obama is the youngest of eight children sired by Barack Obama Sr.)  George’s brother is a multimillionaire and the most powerful man in the world.  Moreover, George’s brother has framed his re-election campaign around the “fair share” theme that we owe obligations to those who are less fortunate.

One of Obama’s favorite phrases comes right out of the Bible: “We are our brother’s keeper, longchamp.”  Yet he has not contributed a penny to help his own brother. And evidently George does not believe, even in times of emergency, that he can turn to his brother in the White House for help.

So much for spreading the wealth around.

Obama’s refusal to help George is especially surprising because George doesn’t just live in American-style poverty but rather in Third World poverty.  He lives in a shanty in the Huruma slum in Nairobi.  He gets by on a few dollars a month.  Obama also has an aunt named Hawa Auma, abercrombie pas cher Music Blog & News Posts Ente, his father’s sister, ralph lauren pas cher, polo femme, who ekes out a living selling coal on the streets of a small village in Kenya.  She says she would like to have her teeth fixed, but she cannot afford it,sac longchamp pliage.  Obama hasn’t offered to help her either.

What’s going on here?  ,Megyn Kelly sits down with Paul Ryans brother; Why is President Obama so hesitant to help family members in need?

A couple of years ago, ralph lauren pas cher, George teamed up with a British journalist Damien Lewis and the two of them published George’s story in a book called "Homeland." Yet according to Lewis, shortly before the book’s publication in America, the publisher Simon & Schuster decided to shred the entire print run, more than 20,polo femme,000 copies.  ,longchamps sac;Lewis tried unsuccessfully to get an explanation from Simon & Schuster but to no avail.  He now suspects that the White House convinced Simon & Schuster that George’s story might prove embarrassing to the president.

In 2010, George also applied for a visa to come to the United States and was refused.   While George confesses that in his younger years he was a delinquent, he has never been convicted of any crime.  Moreover, he has a very good reason to visit the United States: his mother Jael Otieno lives in Atlanta.  So why would the U. S. embassy in Nairobi refuse a tourist visa to the brother of the president who just wants to spend time with his mother?

In the past few days, polo lacoste, an article has been circulating on the web that depicts George as a social undesirable.  First published in the London Daily Mail, abercrombie france Thieves Follow FedEx, Snatch Pa, the article portrays George as a habitual drunk and philanderer.  I spent a day with George this past February while interviewing him for my documentary film 2016: Obama’s America,Panetta says protests in Middle East will continue.  I can attest that George is not an innocent.  If he had been, polo homme, he would not have survived life in the Huruma slum.  Yes, George is street smart and cunning and I did smell alcohol on his breath.

But so what?  George may be a drinker and a skirt-chaser but, as becomes clear from his book, he is also a survivor.  He has overcome his past as a gang-member and petty thief and now works as the organizer of a slum soccer league.  He is trying to uplift himself, and he is trying to help slum kids aspire to a better life.   ,Surveillance video released in LiLos NYC hit-and-r;On balance, Lewis assures me, “George is not a bad guy.  He is on the side of the angels.”

But even if Lewis is wrong, and George exhibits some harmful cultural pathologies, abercrombie france Mercedes June Sales up 0.9 Pct,, the liberal argument―one that Obama himself makes in his book "The Audacity of Hope" ― is that the cultural pathologies of the poor are themselves the product of social disadvantage.

Barack Obama Jr. first met George in 1987, when George was five years old.  He met George again in 2006 when he visited Kenya as a U.S. Senator from Illinois; George was then in his early twenties.  Had Obama helped George along the way, perhaps this young man would not have ended up dirt-poor and living such a degraded life.

So what’s the real story here?  Where’s George Obama’s “fair share”?  George’s tragic situation exposes President Obama as a hypocrite.  Here is a man who demands that others pay higher taxes to help the poor―even poor people who are not related to them―while Obama himself refuses to help a close relative like George.

      Yet I believe there is a deeper explanation that goes beyond hypocrisy for why Obama wants nothing to do with George.   After all,ralph lauren, it would cost Obama so little to raise George out of poverty, and yet he won’t do it.  This isn’t mere negligence; it suggests an active animus.   The reason for that animus emerges in George’s book and also in my interview with George in the film 2016.  In that interview,sac longchamp pas cher, George rejects the anti-colonial philosophy that was espoused by Barack Obama Sr.   This is the “dream from my father” that President Obama celebrates in his own autobiography.   ,polo ralph lauren pas cher;

From the record of their lives and writings, it’s clear that Barack Obama Sr. and Barack Obama Jr. both share the anti-colonial view that blames Western colonial exploitation for the poverty and suffering of the Third World.  ,polo homme;Yet George doesn’t buy it.  He observes that at the time of its independence in the early 1960s “Kenya was on an economic par with Malaysia or Singapore.   Look where we are now, polo ralph lauren, and where they are.  They’re practically developed and industrialized, while Kenya is still a basket case.” George believes that poor countries should take responsibility for their own situation.  “What’s our excuse for failure?  We don’t have one.  We’ve only got ourselves to blame.”

Incredible though it seems, George Obama is, within the context of his own society, a conservative.  He doesn’t worship at the shrine of Barack Obama Sr. and he espouses an ideology diametrically opposed to that of his father and his famous brother.  George has experienced first-hand the empty rhetoric of the two Baracks, polo ralph lauren pas cher, and he rejects it based on his actual experience of Third World poverty.

      No wonder President Obama despises George,ralph lauren, doesn’t want him around, doesn’t care to hear George’s views circulated in America, and won’t lift a finger to help him even when George’s son is in the hospital,outlet gucci.  ,scarpe gucci;

So that’s why George Obama felt he had to call me.  He had no one else to call.  He reached out to me in his time of need because he felt he couldn’t call on his real life sibling living at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

That’s how I got to be, if only metaphorically and for a short time, George Obama’s “brother.”

What will voters hear at the DNC

,polo femme This transcript is automatically generated

Democrats say about that about not just reporting on venerable national Press Secretary for Obama for America, longchamps sac.

The president's reelection campaign joins -- and welcome.

Good to have you here thanks for having me see you watch that report and when we were in Tampa last week basically the thrust of the Romney Ryan campaign was we deserve better.

We can do better than what we're getting right now what do you make.

Well the question is what are they offering and we certainly didn't hear much about that last week you know we didn't hear about there their budget plan, ralph lauren italia.

Which would turn Medicare into a voucher program -- be harder.

But to get -- we didn't hear about their five trillion dollar tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans on the backs of middle class and on the backs of seniors -- That'll be the difference in Charlotte this week, sac longchamp pas cher.

-- hear a roadmap from the president about how we restore economic security for the middle class we've made progress but there's more work to be done.

That is that big question ballot and I get a bounce out of it and no doubt you hoped to get a -- had the convention -- a huge effort.

At a big moment to kind of re launch the president let's take a look at the real -- politics numbers and see how they stack up right now it is.

It it really could not be tighter you've got 46 point 4% for President Obama in this average of all the polls out there right now.

      46 point 3%.

For governor Romney and and you know a recent piece on ABC talked about.

Powell the president may in some ways -- own worst enemy that that the when he talked about the last time around in terms of hope and change has set up.

Many of the people who were supportive of him.

Third person disillusionment as -- to disappointment so how do you talk to those people in a frank honest way and say you know.

We're not where we want to be right now that you gotta you gotta give us another chance.

Well in terms of your first question in terms of the bounce -- chairman previous said that get invisible bounce out of Tampa and they didn't there's a Gallup poll.

Out today that ranked around his speech as the worst rated speed since 1996 and I think that's because he didn't lay out his right there -- for a lot of territory to 5% out of it together really how it -- out over the next few -- I think what you hear this week is an honest conversation about where we -- in 2008 where we are today in the fact that there's more work that needs to be done we -- losing 800000 jobs a month when the president came into office we -- more than three and a half million jobs.

In the six months before he came in office manufacturing was in declined the auto industry that was on the brink americans' retirement savings were being.

Wiped out in the market and we've made a lot of progress businesses have created more than four point five million jobs.

GM was reborn into the number one auto maker in the world again manufacturing is coming back more than 500000 jobs but the question is where will we go from here.

And so the president's going to lay out how we invest in education and research and development -- build the economy from the middle class out.

But let's take a look at some of the numbers because the big question -- you've heard it talked about all over the course of the weekend.

Are you better off now than you were four years ago -- and we have some numbers that have been put together when you take a look at unemployment.

And gas prices and if we could pull those up.

You'll see this this compares -- Comparison unemployment was, polo ralph lauren pas cher.

At seven point 8% it's now eight point three.

-- come has dropped by about 4000 dollars over the course of the four years of the Obama presidency gas prices one dollar 84 to 382.

And the national debt which we're expecting to see -- sixteen trillion.

Over the over the coming days probably tomorrow.

It it's if it's a setup for a very tough argument any howdy howdy -- I reality.

I think that reflects that we've been through the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression, longchamps sac.

And we've made a lot of progress but the president has plants on the table today.

That Republicans have obstructed -- got a four trillion dollar balanced.

Deficit reduction plan he's got a jobs bill that would create a million jobs right now that Republicans in congress have obstructed and governor Romney, polo ralph lauren,Giuliana Rancic on motherhood, new season of hit s.

Has oppose -- so Americans in November we'll have the opportunity.

To break the stalemate between two economic visions you agree with governor Romney that we should continue to reward the wealthiest with five trillion dollar in tax cuts and raise taxes on the middle class to pay for them that hasn't unleashed job creation in the past,Retailers readying for surge in gun sales.

Or should -- the economy from the middle class out through investments in.

Infrastructure and research and development and education and -- down the debt in a balanced way.

You know but you do have to -- wanna go back to,louis vuitton outlet.

Prior point you do have to deal with that sort of issue of disillusionment.

That huge moment for the entire country when President Obama.

Gave that speech and during his inauguration and you look at Paul -- statement at that at the RNC about you know a 23 something year old.

A young person who is you know still -- an analyst mom and dad and looking at -- Obama poster on the wall that is.

That is a real sentiment and and it and it does hit people who were in year's total sweet spot.

Four years ago that it that the people who would be most enthusiastic about the president's,polo femme.

Let's take a look at the promises that the president made on the campaign trail in 2008.

But he promised to begin to reduce our dependence on foreign oil.

He's done that end but the war in Iraq and responsible way it's done that to refocus on al-Qaeda and Afghanistan, ralph lauren.

He's done that to provide affordable accessible health care it's all Americans to provide middle class families with the tax cut.

But he's done those things but we can't stop there we need to continue.

Our progress businesses have created more than four point five million jobs but how do we ensure that America, polo lacoste,Thursday, September 6.

Wins a race the top will restore economic security for the middle class that's what the president is focused on.

That's what this convention is focused on and ultimately I think that's what voters will be focus on in November.

I write it in terms of you know that this this message that we heard over the weekend just from the -- regional -- that is wanna ask you one more point about.

Whether or not you folks are more worried then.

You had been about the selection when you look at that razor tight number.

Is that true the energy do you think that that he's made a good point are you more concerned about selling your message this time around the president -- concerned about it.

Well I think this is going to be close and competitive -- it has been for the past year and a half we always anticipated that the nation says historic challenges when the president I came -- office and the question Americans are asking is how do we restore economic security for the middle class and governor around me.

Ultimately failed to answer that question.

Last week if you were -- undecided voter watching you really just sort of parade of lives throughout the week attacks ripped out of context.

Setting up congressman -- to attack 716 billion dollars of Medicare savings but that he maintained -- in his budget.

      And I think that.

This will lay out the road map that middle class families are looking for to restore economic secured.

And then thank you for coming -- we reported seeing this week have a good week here in Charlotte and all the talk India thanks for evidence look at.

Washington woman convicted in saw attack on husban

      ,polo

A Washington state woman accused of trying to decapitate her sleeping husband with an electric saw was convicted Thursday of attempted murder, polo lacoste.

Jurors needed only about three hours to reach a verdict in the trial of Renee Bishop-McKean of Everett. They also convicted the 44-year-old woman of first-degree assault for hitting the man in the head with a hatchet and mallet.

The jury was told the noise of the saw woke the victim last Oct. 14 and he fought his wife off. He was treated for cuts and scrapes, sac longchamp pas cher.

Bishop-McKean told police an attacker must have entered the home through an open window, polo ralph lauren, found the saw and attacked her husband, polo homme. "You don't need to be concerned about the `why, ralph lauren,"' Stern said in closing arguments Thursday. "You care about the `who."'

Defense lawyer Ken Lee said prosecutors couldn't explain what happened or prove that his client was responsible. He offered three theories, polo ralph lauren, including the mysterious intruder scenario suggested by Bishop-McKean.

Lee also suggested the victim might have hurt himself and blamed his wife. The defense lawyer acknowledged that option was "right out of Alfred Hitchcock."

Finally, ralph lauren femme, ralph lauren, longchamp pas cher, Lee said the only other possibility was that Bishop-McKean was responsible for the attack but if so, the evidence suggests "a very half-hearted attempt" to kill.

The Daily Herald of Everett reports that tests on the tools showed DNA from both Bishop-McKean and her husband, sac longchamp, with trace amounts from someone else. Jurors were told the trace amount likely came from someone who handled the saw at the store before its purchase.

Al Qaeda affiliate, Islamist militia eyed in ‘coordinated’ consulate attack in Libya, sources say

The attack on the U.S,polo ralph lauren pas cher. Consulate in Benghazi, abercrombie and fitch france 102-Year-Old Filipino, Libya, last week was a joint operation orchestrated by an Al Qaeda affiliate in North Africa and the Islamist militia Ansar Al-Sharia, an intelligence source told Fox News, citing evidence collected so far in the investigation.

About 100 attackers carried out the "coordinated assault, polo ralph lauren pas cher,” intelligence sources said, further discrediting earlier Obama administration claims that the deadly attack was a "spontaneous" outburst in response to an anti-Islam film.

Fox News' sources say the attack came in two waves and involved rocket-propelled grenades, polo homme, ralph lauren femme, as well as mortar fire,Ben & Jerry's announces new Cannoli ice cream, and both the consulate and safe house were attacked seemingly with inside knowledge.

Ansar Al-Sharia is not directly affiliated with Al Qaeda, but has sympathetic goals. Ansar has tried and failed to establish an Islamic state in eastern Libya. The militia is a name adopted by a handful of groups, including Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula.

A senior Arab government official told Fox News in December 2011 that it was an effort to “rebrand” because the Al Qaeda name had so much baggage.

Libyan officials are now "absolutely convinced" the attack was preplanned, sources say, polo homme, abercrombie and fitch france Peter Cook Christie B, adding to recent indications that Al Qaeda was involved, specifically a former Guantanamo detainee named Sufyan Ben Qumu,Ed Gillespie Obama running fear and smear campaign.

Four Americans, including U,polo homme.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens, ralph lauren outlet, were killed in the strike, which occurred on the 11th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney and Susan Rice, abercrombie and fitch france Royal Wedding Guest B,sac longchamp, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, initially described the attack on the consulate as spontaneous with little evidence of a well-planned assault. Administration officials also pointed to the anti-Islam film that has fueled protests in the Mideast against the United States, polo ralph lauren pas cher, ralph lauren pas cher, suggesting the consulate attack may have begun as one of those protests and escalated.

But this week, ralph lauren pas cher, the administration began shifting its explanations for the attack, with National Counterterrorism Center Director Matt Olsen testifying before the Senate on Wednesday that it was a "terrorist attack."

Carney followed up by saying for the first time Thursday that it was "self evident" that the attack was an act of terrorism,After the Show Show Rock-n-Roll Show, ralph lauren pas cher, but President Obama seemed to backtrack a bit when pressed later that day by a TV interviewer. Obama did not reference terrorism, polo ralph lauren pas cher, instead invoking the controversial film, which some analysts have said is being used as a tool of extremists to incite violence.

Qumu, longchamp, the former Guantanamo Bay detainee, polo homme, is a Libyan who was released from the U.S. prison in Cuba in 2007 and transferred into Libyan custody on the condition he be kept in jail.

Fox News poll Obama ticket has edge after conventi

      ,polo ralph lauren,longchamp pas cher

An increase in support from women as well as independents gives Barack Obama a post-convention advantage over challenger Mitt Romney.  ,ralph lauren pas cher; The president receives a five percentage-point bounce among women and a 12-point bounce among independents, polo ralph lauren pas cher, in a released Wednesday.

Overall, ralph lauren pas cher, the Obama-Biden ticket tops the Romney-Ryan ticket by 48 to 43 percent among likely voters.  The president’s advantage is within the ’s margin of sampling error,Fox Flash Into the Wild.

That’s a four-point “convention bounce” for Obama among likely voters. Before the conventions, Romney edged Obama by one point (45-44 percent, August 19-21,polo homme, polo lacoste, 2012).

Meanwhile, Romney supporters were 10 points more likely than Obama supporters to say it is “extremely” important their candidate wins (64 percent to 54 percent) before the conventions.  That enthusiasm edge has evaporated.  Now,polo lacoste, 63 percent of Romney supporters and 62 percent of Obama supporters believe it is extremely important their candidate wins, ralph lauren femme.

Obama leads Romney among all women by 14 points and unmarried women by 38 points.  The president also tops the Republican among those with annual income below $50,000 (+18 points),polo femme, polo ralph lauren pas cher, young voters under age 30 (+25 points) and black voters (+89 points).

Romney bests Obama among men (+6 points),ralph lauren, white voters (+12 points), voters who regularly attend religious services (+11 points), Southerners (+18 points) and working-class white voters (+22 points),scarpe hogan.

The conventions helped a number of undecided independents pick a candidate, ralph lauren pas cher.  Before the Republican convention in Tampa, independents backed Romney by a 10-point margin (42-32 percent) and 26 percent were undecided.  Today independents go for Obama by 5 points (44-39 percent) and 17 percent are undecided.

Obama’s personal favorable rating also improves -- up two points to 53 percent since the conventions.  Romney’s favorable rating holds steady at 49 percent.

The poll finds the president has a significant advantage on most issues and candidate traits.  Voters trust Obama more than Romney on foreign policy (+15 points), education (+14 points),polo homme, Medicare (+11 points), health care (+9 points) and terrorism (+8 points).

Romney bests Obama outright on just one issue: cutting government spending (+13 points).

The candidates are rated about evenly when voters are asked who they trust more to handle immigration (Obama +4 points), taxes (Obama +3 points), making the country a better place to live (Obama +2 points) and helping small businesses (Romney +2 points),Ryan Hunter-Reays race to the top.

On the two critical issues for this election -- “taking the country in the right direction” and “improving the economy” -- the candidates are tied.

Slightly more voters think Obama (45 percent) has a “clear plan” for improving the economy than say the same of Romney (42 percent).  Still, more voters say the candidates don’t have a plan: 51 percent say Obama doesn’t have a plan and 49 percent say Romney doesn’t.

On personal qualities, polo ralph lauren pas cher, abercrombie fitch Baby Diet Pediatrician Dr. Alan,8 Olympic badminton players disqualified for throw, voters think Obama is better described than Romney as being honest (+11 points), being a steady leader (+10 points) and having the right experience (+7 points).

Romney tops Obama on “understanding capitalism” (+25 points), a point the Republican convention emphasized by continuing attacks on Obama’s “you didn’t build that” statement.

The candidates are essentially tied on the attributes of keeping promises (Obama +4 points) and having strong moral values (Obama + 2 points).

Nearly half of voters say economic issues such as jobs and growth will be most important in deciding their vote for president (47 percent).  Fiscal issues such as taxes, abercrombie pas cher Privacy Policy Instagr, ralph lauren pas cher, polo lacoste, abercrombie and fitch france Investigative Blog &, the deficit and government spending come in a distant second (22 percent), followed by social issues (10 percent) and national security issues (4 percent).

Voters who say the economy is the top priority back Obama over Romney by 49-43 percent, while fiscal-issue voters back Romney by 47-42 percent.

Finally, how would voters feel about another term for President Obama, ralph lauren pas cher?  Half of likely voters (50 percent) say they feel the country’s “improving” every day and they would “look forward” to another four years.  That’s more than the 43 percent who say the country’s going “down the drain” and they “dread” what would happen in a second term.

The Fox News poll is based on live telephone interviews on landlines and cell phones from September 9 to September 11 among 1,polo lacoste pas cher,056 randomly-chosen likely voters nationwide.  Likely voters are registered voters who are considered most likely to vote in the November presidential election.  The poll is conducted under the joint direction of Anderson Robbins Research (D) and Shaw & Company Research (R).  For the total sample, it has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus three percentage points.

After Irene scared away leaf peepers last year, bu

An optimistic forecast has inn owners expecting brisk business when leaf peepers visit the Northeast this fall, with some hoping to recoup losses from last year after images of Tropical Storm Irene swallowing up bridges and roads scared visitors away from Vermont and other affected areas.

The Woodstock Inn & Resort had to cancel reservations for all of September last year due to flood damage. After multimillion-dollar renovations, polo lacoste pas cher, polo ralph lauren pas cher, it's quickly filling up for the five-week season and nearly booked for Columbus Day weekend.

"There's almost pent-up demand from people that missed out last year and they're very excited to be here this year, ralph lauren," said Courtney Lowe, ralph lauren outlet, the inn's marketing director.

After Irene tore through Vermont at the end of August 2011, national news showed images of floodwaters carrying away roads and bridges, including several of Vermont's iconic covered bridges. Some would-be tourists from Texas and California canceled last fall at the Round Barn Farm in Waitsfield,Police stopped spying on New Jersey Muslims, offic, and the inn was down nearly 25 percent in September.

"When they saw the covered bridge go down the river, and in their world, from Oklahoma to California (to) Texas, every bridge in Vermont" was destroyed, even though only pockets of the state were battered, said Round Barn Farm co-owner Tim Piper.

The inn made up some of the business in October, though, Piper said, when visitors from other parts of New England and from New York made the trek, partly to see the foliage, partly out of curiosity, and partly to help the economy, polo femme. Vermont reaps more than $300 million from the foliage season, and fall tourism brings in an estimated $1 billion in neighboring New Hampshire.

Now, the inn is nearly full for the foliage season.

"This year, our numbers are back on track to where they should be," he said.

Several couples who were stranded at the Notchland Inn in Hart's Location in the White Mountains of New Hampshire for two days during last year's storm are returning this fall, polo ralph lauren pas cher.

"We should have a decent foliage season as long as Mother Nature cooperates, abercrombie pas cher Parenting Blog & News Posts b,ralph lauren pas cher,Why Bucky Covington is one of the Good Guys," said co-owner Ed Butler.

Visitors should see the show they're expecting.

Dry spells this summer aren't likely to hamper the fall colors in forests and mountains, ralph lauren femme, experts predicted, and could even heighten them in some spots.

Light and the length of days are the chief factors for when trees start revealing the yellows, oranges and reds of fall. The key to the deep reds are cold snaps that stimulate the development of another pigment, said Michael Snyder, commissioner of the Vermont Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation.

Visitors could see some brown patches where trees growing in thin soils are dry or where trees are under some other stress and have turned early.

But the dryness also could enhance the color in some spots.

"We've had nice dry,sac longchamp pas cher,On roller-coaster day, Gingrich braces for ex-wife, hot summer," said Maine's foliage spokeswoman, polo lacoste pas cher, Gale Ross. "We're setting ourselves up for an ideal foliage season." She's already fielded numerous inquiries from potential leaf peepers, even one from China.

The bulk of Maine's trees will turn color within the next few weeks.

The season's first online foliage report Wednesday showed leaves still green in the lower two-thirds of Maine. But in the far northern and northwestern parts of the state, 10 to 30 percent of the leaves had changed, marking the start of the season.

Tourism officials in New York's Adirondacks and Catskills said the storms didn't deter visitors overall last year, ralph lauren, especially after word spread that a key road in the Adirondacks was quickly repaired.

But there were pockets of disruption.

Christman's Windham House is in an area of the Catskills that was hit hard by Irene.

Owner Brian Christman said there was damage around the 49-room hotel and 27-hole golf course in the Greene County town of Windham, but he was ready to accommodate visitors during the foliage season.

"When they put it on CNN that Windham was devastated, that pretty much stopped business, hogan," he said. "We had people come. It was just a fraction of normal, hogan uomo."

He figures about a quarter of his annual business comes from leaf-peepers and said this year's reservations are much better.

No matter what Mother Nature produces, abercrombie pas cher Page 2 For July 4th, a Declar, it's still spectacular, particularly to guests who come from far away, said Piper, co-owner of the Round Barn Farm.

"In our worst foliage season that I've ever had, ralph lauren pas cher, ralph lauren pas cher, they've been in total awe of what Mother Nature gave them, polo ralph lauren. We have variations on what is good, but for these people it's still remarkable thing of nature, abercrombie How to Help Simone Homeless Woman Gave, polo homme," he said.

Convention marks GOP opportunity to ratchet up Rom

No matter when the Republican National Convention officially starts, polo homme, abercrombie and fitch france Ritz Says Charlie She, it still marks perhaps the best chance for party leaders to ratchet up what has until now been bridled enthusiasm for Mitt Romney -- as he and President Obama compete for the last of the undecided voters in a very tight race.

The balloons and confetti are set to cascade inside the Tampa Times Forum when Romney accepts the nomination, as planned. And party leaders have assembled Romney’s most ardent and passionate supporters to make their case on stage about why Romney is the best choice in November to lead the country, polo femme.

“This is a huge opportunity to capture the attention of the American public and keep them focused for several nights, polo ralph lauren,” said Juleanna ,polo lacoste;Glover, abercrombie and fitch, polo homme, abercrombie pas cher Peace Corps Volunteers React, a Republican strategist and co-founder of the Washington-based Ashcroft Group.

The biggest threat to that undivided attention will almost certainly be Tropical Storm Isaac, which has already postponed the election start from Monday to Tuesday and is projected to make landfall later this week along the northern Gulf Coast states.

Glover suggested the challenge for the Romney team will be to refrain from trying to re-invent the candidate or going over the top, instead generating enthusiasm through trying to reinforce that Romney is a leader, a church-goer and a family man.

Their biggest challenge may well be in convincing Romney, a former Massachusetts governor and private-equity manager who through the entire election cycle has argued his mission is to fix the economy not win a popularity contest.

The mantra even wore off on some of the Republican Party’s most influential leaders, polo homme, including House Speaker John Boehner, who in July said: “The American people probably aren't going to fall in love with Mitt Romney.”

Boehner also said Romney, who founded the Bain Capital private equity firm, abercrombie and fitch france Review Substance, Sex, “was going to do a great job even if you don't fall in love with him." But the perception was already largely in place and has, at times, ralph lauren femme, remained there, ralph lauren.

Just last week, Romney vowed in The Wall Street Journal that he won’t be part of the celebrity-style culture often favored by politicians.

Voters, polo ralph lauren pas cher, ralph lauren pas cher, Romney suggested, are most interested in hiring a fix-it specialist for an ailing economy. And when he appeared before crowds at campaign stops,Ignoring the drunks, he doesn’t think, “What can I do here to portray myself in a way that would be appealing to the public?” Romney told the paper.

Romney’s favorability rating is now at 46 percent, ralph lauren, according to an averaging of polls by the Real Clear Politics website. It was as low as 21 percent according to a CBS-New York Times poll in January and as high as 50 percent according to a CNN-Opinion Research poll this month.

While Glover suggests a plan that focuses on reinforcing Romney’s image, bolstered by wife Ann’s scheduled speech and the presence of their children, abercrombie fitch, polo ralph lauren pas cher, ralph lauren pas cher, others have suggested the presumptive GOP nominee go further.

“He needs to sell himself, (Romney) the man, his vision for the country, polo,” Jonathan Collegio, spokesman for the Super PAC Crossroads GPS, told Fox News on Saturday.

Earlier in the day, John Sununu,Bring new life to your old furniture, a former New Hampshire governor and Bush administration chief of staff, suggested Romney’s disciplined manner might not warm voters’ hearts, but his competence and capability will in the end resonate with them.

Still, ralph lauren, Glover doesn’t think the convention is Romney’s last, best chance -- calling it just “one of several bites of the apple” and suggesting that the presidential debates this fall could be the turning point.

“They are highly dynamic situations, ralph lauren pas cher,” she said, polo lacoste. “Debates are more pivotal than conventions, hogan.”

Kolb encounters old mates as surprising Cards host

It's been just about two years to the day when Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid made a decision that would change the course of the careers of both Michael Vick and Kevin Kolb.

While the two quarterbacks and former teammates haven't always had the smoothest of paths in the time since, polo ralph lauren pas cher, each has their respective club unbeaten heading into a key early-season clash between the Eagles and Arizona Cardinals at University of Phoenix Stadium.

Kolb was anointed by Reid as the original successor to longtime signal-caller Donovan McNabb prior to the 2010 season, Vick's second in the NFL after returning from a two-year prison sentence for his well-documented involvement in a dog-fighting operation, but his tenure as the Eagles' No. 1 quarterback would be brief after sustaining a concussion in Philadelphia's opening game of that campaign. Vick stepped in and resurrected his derailed career with a brilliant 12-start performance that helped the Eagles to an NFC East title, and was rewarded with a lucrative five-year contract the following summer.

Vick's resurgence prompted Philadelphia to trade the still well-regarded Kolb to Arizona in August of 2011, but his tenure with the Cardinals has mostly been marred by injuries and inconsistent play. The sixth-year pro was edged out for the starting job by the lesser-credentialed John Skelton during this year's preseason, though an ankle sprain the latter suffered in the team's Week 1 matchup with Seattle pressed Kolb back into duty.

Kolb took advantage of the opportunity by directing a fourth-quarter touchdown drive that helped lift Arizona to a hard-earned 20-16 triumph over the NFC West-rival Seahawks, then accounted for two scores (1 passing, 1 rushing) to assist in the Cardinals' startling 20-18 road upset of New England last week.

With Skelton still sidelined with his injury, Kolb will now have the chance to try to show the Eagles they made a mistake in dealing him. Though the two teams did square off in Philadelphia last season, he missed the contest with a sprained toe.

"I've never done it before, so it'll be unique," Kolb said of facing the Eagles. "Hopefully I don't get too fired up."

The Cardinals also pulled off a stunner in last November's showdown, with Skelton throwing for a career-high 315 yards and three touchdowns as Arizona dealt the heavily favored Eagles a 21-17 defeat.

That result is part of a stretch of nine wins in 11 games for the Cardinals dating back to the midway point of last season. Arizona has gone 6-0 at University of Phoenix Stadium during that time frame, while each of those nine victories have come by six or less points.

Philadelphia is on quite a roll as well, and have been involved in a few recent squeakers of its own. After closing out an overall disappointing 2011 schedule with four consecutive wins, the Eagles have gotten off to a 2-0 start this season by producing a pair of narrow decisions over AFC North members Cleveland and Baltimore.

The Eagles pushed past the pesky Browns by a 17-16 count in Week 1 on a Vick touchdown pass with 1:18 left, then rallied from a 10-point halftime deficit for a thrilling 24-23 decision over the 2011 AFC runner-up Ravens last Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field.

Philadelphia became the first team in NFL history to begin a season with two one-point wins, ralph lauren pas cher, and have also overcome committing a combined nine turnovers in doing so. Vick was intercepted four times by Cleveland and picked off twice more while losing a fumble against Baltimore.

"It just goes to show how good we can be," Vick said. "It definitely shows how good our defense is, because they're stopping the offense and putting the ball back on our side so we can score points. I think at some point we'll cut down on the turnovers, we'll cut it back, but it's still early and we just have to get in tuned and stay in-sync with what we do in our offense.

I think it all starts with me, though."

Vick was still able to amass 371 passing yards in last week's comeback and capped a 10-play, 80-yard drive with a go-ahead touchdown run with 1:55 to play. Tight end Brent Celek did his part as well with a career-best 157 receiving yards on eight catches, and could remain an integral part of the game plan on Sunday after wide receiver Jeremy Maclin aggravated an existing hip problem that has status for this game undetermined.

The Eagles will be aiming for their first 3-0 start since prevailing in their first seven outings of their NFC championship season of 2004, while the Cardinals haven't posted three consecutive wins to begin a year since all the way back in 1974,abercrombie Calcium Supplements Linked to Heart At, when the franchise was still based in St. Louis.

WHEN THE EAGLES HAVE THE BALL

Moving the football hasn't been a problem for a Philadelphia offense that's averaged a league-best 471 yards over the first two weeks, with Vick's 688 passing yards over that stretch trailing only the New York Giants' Eli Manning for tops in the NFL. The Eagles only rank 27th in scoring, however, predominantly due to the multitude of giveaways the team has had in its pair of wins. Two of those occurred inside the Baltimore 15-yard line in the first half of last week's test, with Vick (688 passing yards, 3 TD, 6 INT) intercepted in the end zone and running back LeSean McCoy (191 rushing yards, 1 TD,polo ralph lauren, 8 receptions) losing a fumble. Philadelphia was still able to pile up 486 total yards against the Ravens' traditionally strong defense, ralph lauren italia, and that was with Maclin (8 receptions, 2 TD) largely a non-factor due to his ailing hip and starting center Jason Kelce incurring a season-ending knee injury in the third quarter. With a big division game against the Giants on deck, it wouldn't be surprising if Maclin is held out of this one, and last week's outburst showed the Eagles aren't in dire straits if he misses. The offense still possesses plenty of skill and speed, with Celek (12 receptions, 222 yards) stepping in seamlessly as the new No. 1 target and wide receiver DeSean Jackson (11 receptions, 191 yards) a dangerous vertical threat who recorded 114 yards on seven catches against Baltimore despite being hindered by a sore hamstring. Philadelphia also has an outstanding all-around running back in McCoy, though the 2011 All-Pro has now coughed up the ball in two straight contests, and Vick remains one of the league's premier scrambling quarterbacks even at age 32.

A formidable Arizona defense that continually hounded and frustrated Tom Brady a week ago figures to present a stern challenge for the Eagles' playmakers, as was the case when these teams met last November. The Cardinals successfully took Vick out his passing rhythm that day, with high-motor lineman Darnell Dockett (9 tackles) routinely wreaking havoc up front and supremely talented young cornerback Patrick Peterson (5 tackles, 1 INT, 2 PD) able to shut down Maclin, with the Philadelphia wideout managing a mere six yards on two catches and Vick completing an off-target 16-of-34 throws for 128 yards and a pair of interceptions. The Eagles did not have Jackson for that game, however, as he was serving a team-issued suspension. Arizona's pass rush was also effective against the Patriots, with long-armed end Calais Campbell (11 tackles, polo femme, 2 sacks) registering two sacks of Brady as part of a 10-tackle afternoon and second-year outside linebacker Sam Acho (4 tackles, 1 sack) also able to create disruption off the edge. Rangy inside linebacker Daryl Washington (23 tackles, 1 sack) added 13 stops last week and keys a run-stopping contingent that's held opponents to a modest 3.4 yards per carry thus far, and he's also a capable blitzer whom Philadelphia will have to account for. The Cardinals were hurt by New England's Wes Welker out of the slot last week, with the prolific receiver compiling 95 yards on five catches, and inside corner William Gay (12 tackles) and veteran linebacker Paris Lenon (17 tackles, 2 sacks) -- who may often be matched up on Celek -- could be marked men on Sunday.

WHEN THE CARDINALS HAVE THE BALL

While Arizona's defense and special teams have been lights-out during the team's surprising start, ralph lauren pas cher, the offense remains a work in progress heading into this tilt. The Cardinals have gotten a meager output out of the ground game to date, polo lacoste, with the running back combo of Beanie Wells (58 rushing yards) and Ryan Williams (22 rushing yards, abercrombie and fitch Best Brewery Tours Photos -,White House ignoring Iranian threat, 4 receptions) averaging a poor 2.1 yards per attempt over the first two games, sac longchamp, polo ralph lauren, with Williams also losing a pair of fumbles. Making matters worse, tight end Todd Heap (8 receptions) -- who served as Kolb's preferred receiver last week with the Patriots going all-out to neutralize difference-making wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald (5 receptions) -- sprained his knee in the win and is questionable to play on Sunday. Though projected replacement Rob Housler is extremely athletic, the second-year pro owns just 13 career receptions to Heap's 499. Fitzgerald had only a single four-yard catch against the New England defensive backs, ralph lauren, but the six-time Pro Bowler torched the Eagles for 146 yards and two touchdowns on seven grabs in last year's matchup and will undeniably be Kolb's first read most of the time this week, with slot receiver Early Doucet (6 receptions) a decent secondary option underneath. Kolb only managed 140 yards on 15-of-27 passing against the Patriots, but wasn't intercepted and largely made quick and good decisions out of the pocket.

Though a makeshift Arizona offensive line held up fairly well against New England's pass rushers last week, the task could be considerably tougher against a swarming Philadelphia front that boasts a pair of elite disrupters in ends Jason Babin (5 tackles, 1 sack) and Trent Cole (3 tackles, polo ralph lauren, 1 sacks) as well as two quick interior penetrators in tackles Derek Landri and Cullen Jenkins. Their ability to bring steady pressure has helped the Eagles hold opposing quarterbacks to an anemic 35.1 passer rating through the first two games, as has a secondary that's accounted for four of the team's five interceptions and features two quality cornerbacks in four-time All-Pro Nnamdi Asomugha (3 PD) and ex-Cardinal Dominique-Rodgers Cromartie (2 INT, 4 PD), the player Philadelphia acquired in the Kolb trade. Asomugha will likely be assigned to shadow Fitzgerald, which should be one of the game's more intriguing head-to-head battles. Safety Nate Allen (15 tackles) also did a good job against Ravens tight end Dennis Pitta in last Sunday's win and leads the club in tackles, while the run defense headed by heady middle linebacker DeMeco Ryans (13 tackles, 1 sack, 1 INT) was mostly solid. Baltimore's Ray Rice did rush for 99 yards on 16 carries last week, but a good chunk of that total came on a 43-yard spurt.

      OVERALL ANALYSIS

Considering the Cardinals' tendency for close games and the Eagles having been involved in a pair of one-point outcomes in their first two tests, the probability of another nail-biter seems like a good bet. With both teams fielding very good defenses that don't give up much ground, the deciding factor could come down to which one is able to move the ball with greater authority. Philadelphia does have a significant advantage in terms of overall offensive talent, and if Vick can overcome his recent turnover woes, the Eagles stand a good chance of leaving with another hard-fought victory. Though Arizona has had a knack of coming up with momentum-shifting plays from various sources, how Kolb handles the pressure that Philadelphia's disruptive defensive line is sure to bring will determine whether or not the Cardinals can pull off another surprise.

Sports Network Predicted Outcome: Eagles 19, Cardinals 13

It hit it you can't compare that evil with a much greater evil of chilling somewhere in the name of god you know what's interesting.

President Obama mentioned in his weekly address that no religion can command -- something to -- the extent no religion to commence someone to kill some an innocent person.

      I would say.

We wish that were the case but some religions are really mess up.

      If I -- I -- my own religion today.

And I get you guys to join and then I'm going to say go kill and that in the in the name of god I can do that some religions are messed up.

      And we had to say.

Which it did say god by the very definition cannot treat because he's all goodness and he's in in need perfect being.

Should win: Homeland or Breaking BadLead Actor, Dr

This is a particularly difficult year to divine which way the Emmy winds will blow ― toward past favorites or strong new drama and comedy contenders. Here's TVGuide's wish list, and in some cases the usual wild guesses, polo ralph lauren, about how it will all go down at on ABC (8/7c) with Jimmy Kimmel's much anticipated first turn as host.

      Drama Series
      , HBO
      , AMC
      , PBS
      , HBO
      , Showtime
      , AMC

Hands down the toughest category to call. For the first time in five years, sac longchamp, polo homme, Mad Men is not the runaway front-runner. Not with the riveting first season of Homeland, the darkly brilliant Breaking Bad and the crowd-pleasing Masterpiece phenom Downton Abbey all as possible spoilers. All are deserving,Workout worries, and Mad Men has Emmy momentum in its favor, but unless there's a four-way tie ― sorry, HBO, your epic fantasy and Prohibition drama don't stand a chance ― the widespread affection for mainstream period fave Downton could edge out the edgier critical faves. ― and it's coming back strong next weekend ― so that's what I'm rooting for, polo ralph lauren, but I'd be OK with any of the Top 4. (I would be pleasantly shocked with a Game of Thrones win, but fantasy is a tough sell at the Emmys, and the first season told a more unified story, as it did in the book series.)

Most likely to win: Downton or Mad Men; Should win: Homeland or Breaking Bad

      Lead Actor, Drama
      , Downton Abbey
      , Boardwalk Empire
      , Breaking Bad
      ,
      , Mad Men
      , Homeland

Three-time winner Cranston had to sit out last year but is back with a vengeance, facing a strong field of stars still waiting for a first Emmy. Top challengers to Cranston's ever-more-chilling work as master criminal Walter White: Hamm, whose iconic portrayal of Don Draper gains depth by the season (and becomes more poignant the older the character gets), and Lewis as the tormented POW-turned-sleeper agent who always kept us guessing.

Most likely to win: Cranston; Should win: Hamm

      Lead Actress, Drama
      ,polo femme,polo ralph lauren outlet,

      , Homeland
,ralph lauren pas cher, Downton Abbey

,polo lacoste pas cher, Mad Men

If there's any slam dunk, it's Danes' blistering performance as the bipolar CIA analyst relentlessly tracking (and seducing) her enigmatic prey at the cost of her sanity. Too bad her arrival upstages Moss' most triumphant season to date as Peggy, who finally got the gumption to strike out on her own.

      Most likely to/Should win: Danes

      Supporting Actor, Drama
      , Downton Abbey
      , Downton Abbey
      , Game of Thrones
      , Breaking Bad
      ,polo ralph lauren, Mad Men
      , Breaking Bad

If the rule holds that dying for your art wins you an Emmy, the contest is between Esposito's chilling kingpin Gus Fring and Harris' tragic ad man Lane Pryce. Incredibly, Mad Men has yet to win an acting Emmy in any category, and the deep pathos of Harris' performance certainly qualifies. But Esposito, with his icy control and menace (not to mention his explosive exit) is the favorite, abercrombie and fitch Consumer Report Blog & News, ralph lauren, much the way triumphed on a year ago.

      Most likely to/Should win: Esposito

Supporting Actress, abercrombie fitch Brian Ross News Stories and Arti, Drama

      , Downton Abbey
      , Breaking Bad
      , Mad Men
      , The Good Wife
      , Downton Abbey

I love everyone's work here ― how wonderful for Gunn finally to be nominated ― and will likely be silently rooting for Hendricks, whose personal and professional growth as the fabulous Joan this season gave Mad Men some of its best moments. But this category often belongs to the scene-stealer, and no one's better at that than Dame Maggie as the withering Dowager Countess. (Who can't wait to watch her spar with next season?)

Most likely to win: Smith; Should win: Hendricks

      Comedy Series
      , CBS
      , HBO
      , HBO
      , ABC
      , NBC
      , HBO

When you're on a roll, you're on a roll. It's unlikely anything can stop the glorious Modern Family's march to a third straight Emmy ― although Big Bang just keeps getting better and more popular as it beefs up the wacky women's roles. From the underdog ranks, Lena Dunham's pungent Girls has impressive indie-cult cred, although HBO's three contenders could cancel each other out.

Most likely to/Should win: Modern Family

Lead Actor,Prosecutors drop fight to release James Holmes not, Comedy
      , 30 Rock
      ,
      ,
      ,polo lacoste,
      , Curb Your Enthusiasm
      , The Big Bang Theory

Time to back a dark horse, or should we say an ugly "Duckling," with the soulful Louis C.K. submitting his hour-long masterpiece set during a USO stand-up tour of Afghanistan. David as the "social assassin" in Curb's uproarious "Palestinian Chicken" episode could also potentially upset the presumptive favorites, Big Bang's double-winner Parsons and 30 Rock's much-rewarded Baldwin.

Most likely to win: Parsons or (long shot) Louis C.K.; Should win: Louis C.K.

      Lead Actress, Comedy
      ,ralph lauren,
      , Girls
      ,
      , 30 Rock
      , Veep
      ,
      ,

Another toss-up in a very cluttered category. Falco was awesome as Jackie finally faced her demons, Emmy darling Louis-Dreyfus nailed the neurotic insecurities of a hapless Veep, and Poehler got my vote as an endearingly gung-ho city-council candidate. Few guessed McCarthy would win last year, and while I'm torn between last season's new "girls" ― Deschanel's effervescent sprite and Dunham's bravely de-glamorized twentysomething ― I'm defying the odds by sticking with Jess.

Most likely to win: Deschanel or Louis-Dreyfus; Should win: Deschanel or Poehler

      Supporting Actor, Comedy
      , Modern Family
      , Modern Family
      , New Girl
      ,
      , Modern Family
      , Modern Family

You can't swing an Emmy without hitting a Modern Family nominee, polo homme, so whose turn is it this year? Many are favoring the overdue veteran O'Neill, but last year's winner Burrell remains the comic heart and soul of the show as the hapless doofus of a family man. Personally, I'd give it to the fearlessly hilarious Greenfield for going beyond the douchey surface to make us love the irrepressibly fussy and insecure Schmidt.

Most likely to win: Burrell (or any of his Modern co-stars); Should win: Greenfield

      Supporting Actress, Comedy
      , The Big Bang Theory
      , Modern Family
      ,polo ralph lauren pas cher,
      , Modern Family
      , Nurse Jackie
      , Saturday Night Live

The Modern women probably have the edge, but the late and beloved Joosten (whose character died in the Housewives finale) is a sentimental favorite, and Bialik's uncanny performance as Sheldon's femme-bot doppelganger represents a classic career comeback. Kudos to the Academy, by the way, for recognizing Jackie's delightful Wever as the sunniest of nurses, always reminding us that the show is essentially still a comedy.

Most likely to win: Bowen or Joosten; Should win: Bialik

      Movie/Miniseries
      , FX
      , HBO
,polo ralph lauren pas cher, History
      , HBO
      , BBC America
      ,ralph lauren pas cher, PBS

The garish Horror Story series is the most nominated, having fought (and bled) its way into this category. But the traditional Emmy voter is more likely to reward History's grim all-star family-feud blockbuster Hatfields & McCoys, which successfully revived the classic historical made-for-TV epic, or HBO's topical docudrama Game Change, about the last presidential campaign, with 's knockout (and sure-to-win) impersonation of Sarah Palin. My other acting picks in the movie/minis field: as the volatile Sherlock, and in the supporting categories, continuing her winning streak for Horror Story, polo homme, and as Game Change's John McCain, polo homme, though I'd love to see the droll make it a matched set as Sherlock's Watson.

Most likely to win: Game Change; Should win: Hatfields

      Reality-Competition Program
      , CBS
      , ABC
      , Lifetime
      , Fox
      , Bravo
      , NBC

Hard to bet against the globe-trotting Race,Obama Interrupted By Protesters During NH Jobs Spe, because no other show has its scope and scale, and it has only lost once in this category (to Top Chef). And yet those revolving chairs in the "blind audition" round of NBC's singing spectacular The Voice is the best gimmick to hit this genre in ages, helping this upstart unseat American Idol. For pure talent, though, nothing beats Dance (before Fox messed with its format this year).
Most likely to win: Race; Should win: Dance

      6. Read to and with your child every day

It's that busy time of year when teachers are in countless meetings, training and in-service days. They are also setting up and cleaning their classrooms to get ready for students. In my own classroom, the nametags are on the hooks, the mailboxes and cubbies are labeled, polo ralph lauren pas cher, and a hand-written welcome note together with a bookmark and a new pencil sits on each child's desk.

As a teacher and a parent, I get a bird's eye view of how teachers and parents can team up to provide the best education possible for a child. Here are a few things I think most teachers would want parents to know as the school year begins.

      1. Share what you know,Watch Today's Conversation to See Diane's Interview With Bet! You are your child's first and best teacher. You know what excites, polo homme, frustrates, and inspires your child. Fill out any surveys sent home, send in insights about your child via email or notes, or stop by for a quick hallway chat. Teachers want to learn quickly how to best reach and teach your child.

      2.  We are on the same team in the best interest of your child. I know it seems obvious, but having conversations from the perspective of how we can best work together can be very powerful and productive. Amazing things can happen when parents and teachers team up. I've seen children make tremendous progress, gain confidence, longchamp, polo ralph lauren pas cher, polo homme, and take on new challenges when teachers and parents communicate frequently and team up to support each other. Sometimes, we may have different perspectives and opinions,6:29 p.m. ET,abercrombie fitch, polo, polo ralph lauren pas cher, but teachers (like parents) want what is best for the child both emotionally and academically, and will work tirelessly for it.

      3.  Read the school and classroom notes, newsletters and website.  That is the best way to stay connected to what is happening on a regular basis. It is incredibly frustrating to provide lots of communication only to be told at a conference, "I never knew that!" Or, "that is the first time I've heard about that!"  We all are busy, ralph lauren pas cher, but if you want to be informed,1. What is arsenic, ralph lauren, and what does it do to the, you've got to participate by reading the material.

Be on the lookout for the best way to communicate with your child's teacher. This information is usually contained in the opening letter. Some teachers work best with email, and others would rather chat on the phone. It is helpful to know this at the beginning of the year.

      4.  Sleep is very important. In the first few weeks of school, please help your child adjust to the school schedule by encouraging earlier bedtimes and less weekend activity. The change to school hours is hard for some children, especially those who shifted toward later waking and bedtimes during the summer.

This is especially true for adolescents whose bodies need more sleep anyway, polo lacoste pas cher, and middle and high schools usually start earlier in the morning. Young children, particularly those starting kindergarten, will likely be exhausted from kindergarten and will need much more rest.

      5.  Establish a quiet,Portman Obama has failed to lead, organized space for reading and doing homework, ralph lauren, and provide a structured, polo ralph lauren, screen-free time for doing it. Parents are so busy working, polo ralph lauren, making meals, cleaning up and organizing schedules that it is easy to overlook the set up of a productive homework environment. We know that giving kids the time, ralph lauren, polo ralph lauren, space and support to do their homework is essential to them feeling successful. Carve out the time and space and your child will feel more organized and prepared for school.

      6.  Read to and with your child every day. Reading aloud to your child is the single best thing you can do to promote his or her academic success.  You will build knowledge, polo ralph lauren pas cher, increase vocabulary, model reading comprehension strategies and being a literate person in society. Many parents think reading aloud is only for little kids. There .

Here's to a great school year, and to the power and impact of parents and teachers working together to help children thrive and succeed,What do voters think of the Romney-Ryan ticket, ralph lauren pas cher!

Chances are you're not gonna get a strong Wi-Fi signal through that we had to do this in our house we had the router set up in the top room and then.

Downstairs we have brick work and we -- getting almost no signal.

So it is set up like a second data point in the house and also one of the big things is go out buy him a newer router a lot of people have old routers that they bought for their Wi-Fi network a few years old.

And it'll just be slow just buying the new router with the latest standards you'll see -- speed bump my friend just did this.

-- it's like night and day because I just bought a new router that advice or just knocked on all the bricks on the -- just bill that out of a paper machete attack I think.

-- next question what browser does Clayton recommend and use for this computers and that's from Tom Coleman on Twitter so a lot of we've gotten past -- is sort of the browser wars -- was how many use Firefox -- use this but really I use Google's Chrome browser let's go to -- dot google.com downloaded it's free.

It's probably the fastest browser out there so I use it mostly an all my computers.

It's very very simple so it pretty much gets the browser out of the way in just lets you focus on the content.

All of your bookmarks will sync across all of your computers so if you're at work -- blog in two chrome the same bookmarks that -- saved at home will be their work.

Money it's that simple it's called money.

And it was great as you can create categories -- ET all of this stuff do you categorize it the end of the year you can just create an excel spreadsheets and about your accountant.

It also sinks with your bank's so any time and all the categories of use Bank of America whatever.

All of that stuff -- sync with your bank so you can go when you -- you've spent five dollars on a newspaper.

Money at a fast food restaurant gas all of that stuff -- categorized for you.

There's also new program called neat from the folks from neat receipts.

They'll scan all of your receipts they had a desk scanner and it all gets categorized using Mac software so try either money.

-- the new program from need to which just rolled out I think last week or so hot and that really works because of seeing those commercials it does that actually -- receipts or did it test on this this past week you can use your Smartphone so you're out to dinner.

You can -- take a picture of your receipt.

It upload to needs servers scans all of -- so you -- to type in any of the information will show you that you -- at this particular restaurant.

Ex-Navy SEAL defends group's Obama attacks, co

OPSEC, a group of former military and intelligence operatives and creators of a long-form political ad that blames President Obama for a series of national security leaks, polo lacoste, longchamp pas cher, is firing back against criticisms from the nation's highest ranking military officer.

Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Martin Dempsey on Tuesday told Fox News he was "disappointed" by the political use of the military uniform.

"If someone uses the uniform, whatever uniform, polo femme, ralph lauren pas cher, for partisan politics, I am disappointed because I think it does erode that bond of trust we have with the American people,” Dempsey said in an interview with Fox News while flying back from a trip to Afghanistan and Iraq.

But Scott Taylor, a former Navy SEAL and the president of OPSEC, argues that Dempsey's criticisms can be applied equally to the Obama campaign's "One Chance" ad, which features images of Black Hawk helicopters in flight and military pilots. The video, ralph lauren outlet, polo homme, abercrombie Lucile Packard Childrens Hospital at S, , suggests Gov. Mitt Romney would not have made the same decision to call for the raid that killed Usama bin Laden.

“The Obama campaign continues to promote a highly partisan attack ad that used military footage and photographs from the White House Situation Room to support sharp criticism of the president’s political opponent, polo ralph lauren,” Taylor said. “The use of those in uniform and the work they do for partisan political purposes is not only unhelpful, as General Dempsey said,Now Clients Have Even Easier Access Online to Browse and License ABC News’, but is dishonorable, polo ralph lauren, and the campaign should immediately remove the ad for good.”

Taylor also claimed that unlike the Obama campaign's ad, all of the men featured in the OPSEC video were former military and therefore have the right to speak freely.

"Speaking openly about protecting those in uniform is far more helpful than speaking about classified intelligence or Special Operations missions, tactics and capabilities, which bipartisan leaders have said has reached alarming levels under this administration,” Taylor said.

Dempsey had said that as the steward of his profession -- the military -- he thinks it imperative that the military remain “apolitical.”

OPSEC unveiled its 22-minute video on its website last week and pledged to go on air with a TV ad sometime in September.

In the video, sac pliage longchamp, polo ralph lauren pas cher, an array of retired CIA agents and other intelligence personnel suggest the administration has been leaking security details for political gain, and specifically criticize the president over his public handling of the bin Laden raid.

"Mr. President, polo femme, polo ralph lauren pas cher, you did not kill Usama bin Laden. America did," Navy SEAL Ben Smith said in the video. "The work that the American military has done killed Usama bin Laden. You did not."

The Web video showed clips of Obama's press conference in early May on the Pakistan raid, sacs longchamp pliage, highlighting his comments about directing the mission. The video left out the rest of the remarks in which Obama thanked the "countless intelligence and counterterrorism professionals" involved.

The Obama campaign, though,After the Show Show Lauren Bush, polo ralph lauren pas cher, polo homme,Strike against reforms in India disrupts trains, f, dismissed the video as akin to the 2004 "Swift Boat" ads.

"The Republicans are resorting to Swift Boat tactics because when it comes to foreign policy and national security, Mitt Romney has offered nothing but reckless rhetoric," Obama spokesman Ben LaBolt said.

The group seems to be most focused on the controversy over security leaks. Those leaks are currently under investigation by Justice Department attorneys.

The narrator in the video says former military and intelligence operatives who understand the importance of operational security "have had enough."

"Their mission -- stop the politicians from politically capitalizing on U.S. national security operations and secrets," the narrator says, as a picture of Obama flashes on screen.

Obama has condemned the leaks. He said in June that the issue is "a source of consistent frustration" for his and prior administrations.

Meanwhile, polo ralph lauren pas cher, publishing giant Penguin Group has confirmed it has plans to release a book that provides a detailed, first-person account of the raid that killed Usama bin Laden. According to the publisher,Week devoted to tall women, the book,Question: ,abercrombie and fitch france, "No Easy Day: The Firsthand Account of the Mission That Killed Osama Bin Laden, polo femme," is written under a pseudonym by a Navy SEAL who participated in the mission. It's co-authored with Kevin Maurer and is set to be released on Sept. 11.

A spokesman at Dutton, sac longchamp pliage, ralph lauren pas cher, a group owned by Penguin, ralph lauren, says proceeds from the book will be donated to charitable causes that benefit the families of fallen Navy SEALs.
